Honoring Dr. David A. NewMyer
Dr. NewMyer, originally from California, earned his bachelor's degree in history and government from the University of Redlands. He later completed a master's degree in transportation from Northwestern University. Dr. NewMyer earned his Ph.D. in educational administration and higher education from SIU. Throughout his career he has dedicated himself to excellence in both teaching and research with his professional efforts always driven to be the best in his position.
Legacy Project
Dr. NewMyer is widely recognized for his expertise in airport planning and airport management. His 40 years of distinguished service includes significant contributions to aviation education and research. He has 54 published articles and authored 19 technical reports. In addition to his leadership on university systems, Dr. NewMyer has been a tireless volunteer at the local IAO, state promotional and Air Mobility, State Aeronautics Advisory Board of Aeronautical Advisors) and national long-term Promoter of the University Aviation Association levels.
